DC Named 3rd on Booziest States in America List | News

From accidental injuries to liver disease and unintended pregnancy, binge drinking has been linked to all sorts of serious health problems. But that doesn’t stop Americans from going overboard on alcohol. In a recent survey by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, nearly one in four Americans admitted to having five or more drinks on one occasion in the past month.

DC is a state now? … DC became a state just so they can expose how drunk we are? (lol)

So…. Washington, DC placed number THREE (3) on the list of the Booziest States in America… Is that like a compliment? or… a sign? Not sure being one of the drunkest States in America is a good thing.

What even more interesting, is who came in #2 & #1….. North & South Dakota, with South Dakota taking the number one spot with 29.71 percent of the state admitting to binge drinking within the last month.

Falling not to far behind South Dakota with 29.71 as well, is Washington, DC with 29.61% of the population admitting to binge drinking within the last month.

The DC nightlife scene is undeniably popping though. Between Adams Morgan, U Street, Georgetown, Capitol Hill, Downtown, and all the other clubs sprinkled throughout the city, it does seem pretty easy to be one of the top 5 drunkest cities.
