Ahh, to be young and nihilistic. At this point in his career, Fat Trel’s idea of the future doesn’t seem to extend past the next swig of flavored vodka, the endorphin rush from a pill or the latest sexual encounter. Meanwhile, Chicago native Chief Keef is a ball of energy that has apparently already ran out of f*cks to give before the age of 18. It was only a matter of time, and a few all uppercase tweets, for the young gunners to join forces and give the world the musical shot of adrenaline that is their first collaboration “Russian Roulette.”

In an inverted way, the Lex Luger-produced track recalls the famous scene from the film The Deer Hunter where American P.O.W.s were forced to play Russian Roulette to entertain their captors. The fear and despair of the pale-faced prisoners was in stark contrast to the boisterous and sadistic enjoyment of the Vietnamese soldiers. In this case, our two young warriors joyfully scream their respective battle cries, fingers tight on their triggers with glee, while the wardens of hip-hop watch aghast as the inmates begin to take over the asylum.
