This week, the National Mall, National Park Service announced the peak bloom of D.C.’s cherry blossoms. If the forecast is accurate, the peak would be the week of March 14-17, the earliest date to record. With the scenic season approaching, we’ll provide you a short list of great locations to witness the bloom:
3501 New York Avenue, NE D.C.
The 446-acre living museum is an ideal place to see D.C.’s Cherry Blossoms this season. The Arboretum’s cherry trees usually peak at a different time than the Tidal Basin ones. (Tidal Basin below)
Tidal Basin Paddle Boats
1501 Maine Avenue SW, D.C.
You can take a two or four person paddle boat on the water near the Jefferson Memorial and take some incredible pictures.
Jefferson Memorial Steps
701 West Basin Drive SW, D.C.
The Jefferson Memorial is the ideal spot to sit & soak in the good weather (hopefully) and see the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom. The Memorial is the perfect location for viewing the many memorials and statues close by.
