19 Year Old Woman Arrested for Leaving Her Dog Outside a PetSmart in Falls Church, VA.
On Monday, July 25, Megan Kurtz Campbell, from Falls Church, VA, was arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, On Monday, July 25, Megan Kurtz Campbell, a 19 year old woman from Falls Church, VA, was arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty.
On Monday afternoon, Megan Kurtz Campbell entered the PetSmart in Falls Church, Virginia at 6100 Arlington Boulevard.
The young lady locked her dog inside the car while entering the store. The extreme heat wave in this area seemingly led an unnamed person to make a call to Emergency Services to report a dog locked inside of a vehicle.
Firefighters arrived around Noon and responded to the situation. Despite their attempts to cool the dog down, the firefighters were unsuccessful at saving the dog’s life.
The firefighters transported the dog into the PetSmart veterinarians office where the 5-year-old Puggle was announced dead.
Police responded to the call and arrested the owner of the dog, Megan Kurtz Campbell, who was charged with felony animal cruelty.
