(via DCist.com) – Grisly news out of New Carrollton with the deaths of two young men whose bodies were found less than a mile apart late last night near the New Carrollton Metrorail station, police said. The first body was found about 10:45 p.m. Monday on 85th Avenue near not far from the station, with the second being discovered about 45 minutes later at 78th Avenue and Garrison Road, the Associated Press reported this morning. Both men appeared to have suffered some kind of trauma, police said.
The Prince George’s County Police Department has ruled both deaths as homicides and is currently investigating the deaths as separate incidents, a spokesman for the department told DCist. Including the two men last night, whose names have not yet been released, there have been eight homicides in Prince George’s County since the beginning of the year.
Police officials also said they will be making additional statements about last night’s incidents later today.
